What Are Credits?

Credits are how OptiDev measures AI usage. Every time the agent builds, edits, or generates something for you, it uses credits based on the complexity of the task. Simple tasks (small edits, quick fixes) use fewer credits. Complex tasks (building new features, large changes) use more credits.

Credit Reset

  • Monthly plans: Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle
  • Yearly plans: You get all credits upfront when you subscribe
  • No rollover: Unused credits don’t carry over to the next cycle

Checking Your Balance

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Click SettingsBilling
  3. Your current credit balance and usage are displayed
You’ll also see a warning when your credits are running low.

Running Out of Credits

When your credit balance reaches zero:
  • The agent will notify you that credits are depleted
  • You won’t be able to use AI features until you have more credits
  • Your app and all your work remain safe and accessible

Options When Out of Credits

  1. Wait for reset — Monthly plans reset at the start of each billing cycle
  2. Upgrade your plan — Get more credits instantly with a higher plan
  3. Buy a top-up — Purchase additional credits anytime

Upgrading Your Plan

From Free to Paid

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Choose Standard or Pro
  3. Select monthly or yearly billing
  4. Complete payment through Stripe
  5. Credits are added immediately

From Standard to Pro

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Upgrade to Pro
  3. You’ll receive prorated credits for the remainder of your billing cycle
  4. Payment is processed automatically

Managing Your Subscription

Change Payment Method

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. You’ll be redirected to the billing portal
  4. Update your payment method

Cancel Subscription

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. Select Cancel subscription
  4. Your plan remains active until the end of the billing period
  5. After cancellation, you return to the Free plan

View Invoices

  1. Go to SettingsBilling
  2. Click Manage Billing
  3. View and download past invoices

FAQ

Your projects and apps are safe. You’ll still have access to everything you’ve built. You just won’t be able to use AI features until you resubscribe or purchase credits.
Yes. Go to Manage Billing and change your subscription. The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
No. Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Yearly plan credits are valid for the full year.
Credit usage depends on the complexity of the task. Simple edits use fewer credits than building new features. You can always check your balance in Settings → Billing.
Every new account starts with 100 free credits so you can try OptiDev before subscribing.
